Well Papa, I've finished my nursing training. I hope I'll be the kind of nurse you would be proud of! I'm so grateful for the time I got to spend with you in the hospital and during your final earthly days. I remember coming to see you in intensive care, and you said "there's my favourite nurse!". I cherish those times I had with you! Many patients remind me of you, and how poorly you were in your final few weeks, and I'm extra sensitive and a bit of a softie towards them, but I hope that extra love won't leave me, because I'd have wanted your nurses to be extra loving toward you.
